Analysis of error correction methods to improve writing skill

Abstract

In this research, correction methods were analyzed to improve the development of writing skills in English students in the third year of parallel Basic Education "A" of the "José María Román" Educational Unit of the 2017 - 2018 school year. The objectives were to identify how the teacher applies correction methods to improve students' writing skills; and describe its benefits. To achieve them, the ethnographic method and the observation technique were used applied to 35 students from the aforementioned Educational Unit. The main results showed that the absence in the application of correction methods affects the development of writing skills in students, that correction methods such as peer-correction, self-correction, and error code allow improving writing in students. students and learning the English language, depending on how the teacher applies them.
